Dr. Vincent L. Travisano, DPM
Dr. Travisano is from Long Island, New York where he performed his undergraduate studies at New York Institute of Technology receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences summa cum laude in 1974. He then attended St. Louis University Graduate School in the study of human anatomy.
He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA in 1980. While attending Podiatry school, he authored several scientific papers and received numerous awards and honors including the John J. Rappaport Award for outstanding service to humanity. The American Podiatry Association awarded him for a scientific exhibit at its national convention in 1977 for "The Surgical Anatomy of Bunions."
While a student, he developed a lower extremity museum presently housed in the P.C.P.M. anatomical lab still used by students to enhance their learning abilities.
Dr. Travisano did his residency training at Lindell Hospital, St. Louis, MO from 1980-1982, the last year as chief resident of the podiatry department. In 1982-1983 he was the associate of the nationally known podiatrist, Dr. Harold Rubenstein of Syracuse, New York.
Dr. Travisano is board certified to the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as its affiliates, the Missouri and St. Louis Podiatric Medical Associations. He has staff hospital privileges at St. Clare, St. Anthony's and St. Mary's Medical Health Centers where he performs his outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures.
